Majority of Americans Oppose Mass Wild Horse Roundup Plan

Tag #320, the number previously assigned to our Amari, one of the Devil's Garden mustangs rounded up last October by the BLM and Forest Service...

Today we celebrate as Amari was the final mustang from the roundup to lose the tag and symbolically gain her freedom...

"...nearly three out of four Americans oppose the costly and cruel mass roundup and incarceration plan for America’s cherished wild free-roaming horses and burros,” says Suzanne Roy, Executive Director of the American Wild Horse Campaign (AWHC).

“Americans do not want their tax dollars used to clear the public lands of wild horses and burros in order to replace these iconic animals with subsidized commercial livestock.”

Today Amari is safe and loved here at Equine Voices.  But what about the thousands of other mustangs and burros who aren't?
