Hi Everyone!

Carly here. I'm a beautiful, sweet mare who was rescued in October 2004 along with fourteen other babies from the Pony Skin leather industry. This industry is a hidden secretand not very many people know about it. Unwanted babies are taken from their mothers at a young age and killed for their hides for belts, handbags, jackets, furniture, etc...All fifteen of us were in a feedlot in South Dakota awaiting this horrible fate when Equine Voices rescued us.

 We were so ill with a very contagious disease called strangles.Unfortunately, one of us died. Dreamer, like the rest of us, was only a couple of months old. The rest of us survived and were adopted to good, loving homes after we became stronger and healthier. I was returned along with Chavali as our owner moved out of state. My best friend here at the sanctuary is Joy, and we love hanging out with each other. I'm looking for a sponsor.
