Lucy found herself back at AZ Equine Surgical Center after showing signs of colic two days after her return from her original surgery for her severe recto-vaginal fistula. After a week of acute care and careful monitoring, Lucy was released and was able to come back home to Equine Voices. A big thank you to Dr. Taylor for his care and attention, and to Donna Marcous for transporting Lucy once again from Gilbert, Arizona. Welcome home Lucy!

Due to the seriousness of her case, Lucy needs a daily tube of gastroguard and a gallon of mineral oil on her food daily. She is due to return to AZ Equine Surgical Center in five weeks, where she will undergo her second (and hopefully final) surgery for her vaginal tear. These unexpected costs have added a strain on our budget during these uncertain times. For those of you who have helped us with Lucy's expenses, we thank you! If you would like to donate to Lucy's veterinary costs, or to donate mineral oil and/or gastroguard, please click here. Thank you for your continued support in furthering our mission of helping horses in need.
